FEES:
30 minute class = $58/month, $18/ individual class, $165/ trimester
45-minute class = $60/month, $19/ individual class, $171/ trimester
1 hour class = $62/month, $20/ individual class, $177/ trimester
1 hr and 15 min class= $64/month, $20/ individual class, $183/ trimester
1 hr and 30 min class= $66/month, $20/ individual class, $189/ trimester
unlimited= $400/month, $1150/trimester
(trimester payments for Sept-Nov due Aug 15, for Dec-Feb due Nov 15, and for Mar-May due Feb 15)
REGISTRATION:
$30 due with 1st payment each year, nonrefundable
Fees are not based on the number of classes per calendar month but are based on annual costs, payable monthly for your convenience. Like a gym or health club, we require fees to be paid every month, September - May. If you choose to take a month off, you will be asked to pay the registration fee again.
DISCOUNTS:
*2 classes/week = 5%
*3 classes/week = 10%
*4 classes/week = 15%
*5 classes/week = 20%
Families add classes and apply the discount.
OTHER:
*Late fee (after 7th of the month) = $15
*Recital Fee = $30 (Recital tickets will be available at the Wortham box office)
Students may not participate in the recital until tuition is paid. Recital is Saturday, May 18, 2024 (time TBD).
Three snow days per class are figured into costs. After that, we will schedule make-up classes. Advanced classes may offer a Zoom option instead of a snow day.
Missed classes may be made up in other disciplines, or by observing advanced classes.
PLEASE NOTE:
Classes are subject to change depending upon enrollment.
Grades and ages serve as a starting point for class placement; instructors may choose to move students to a class they deem more appropriate. All students ages 11+ will personally be advised of their best placement.
Please bring your own water bottle; water fountain is not in use.
Face masks are optional at this time. Please do not attend class if you have cold symptoms, or if anyone in your household is currently positive for COVID. Dancers may be asked to wear a mask if they are coughing.
DRESS:
Needed for recital: Women - black leotard, black wrap skirt, pink tights, and pink slippers.
Men - white t-shirt, black tights, black slippers.
Non-binary and gender fluid dancers - wear what makes you most comfortable.
Otherwise no color-coding by level. Just look like a dancer!
Please wear long hair pulled back in a bun or similar style.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY:
We are closed for classes when Asheville City Schools are closed for weather (or have a remote learning day due to weather) OR release early due to weather. We are open as usual when Asheville City Schools are open on a delay. If Asheville City Schools cancel some or all afternoon activities, we will plan to be open, and if we have to close (if conditions are dangerous!), we will be in touch via email regarding our weather decision. Anytime we close for weather, we do try to send an email as well as to post on our website and our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/AshevilleBallet) and Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/ashevilleballet/) to make sure there's no confusion, especially regarding Saturday classes. If you’d like to keep up with the Asheville City Schools’ cancellations yourself, as well, their inclement weather hotline is 828-350-6188, and they also post to their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/AVLCitySchools/ and usually to the WLOS school closings listing.
**Important note: For our Monday Pilates and Monday Advanced Ballet and Pointe classes, if Asheville City Schools close for weather (or have a remote learning day due to weather), or release early for weather, we will plan to have classes via Zoom! We will be in touch via email to confirm that this is happening, but virtual days will be our default plan for Monday Pilates/Ballet/Pointe Fall 2023 session!**
