open Auditions for spring into dance

Audition
The Asheville Ballet will hold open auditions for our professional production of Spring into Dance: A Movement Bouquet on Saturday, January 25th from 1:30-5:00pm at our studio at 4 Weaverville Highway. Audition fee is $10.
Parts in classical and contemporary works are available for intermediate and advanced dancers from all studios for ages 15 to adult and students to professionals.

Dirty Dancing Festival

For the 9th year, Asheville Ballet Company will be the resident dancers of the Lake Lure Dirty Dancing Festival. Audience and dancers alike have an incredible weekend of learning and re-enacting dances from the film on the location of the original site of filming the famed "Dirty Dancing", as well as enjoying other family-friendly activities such as a watermelon-carrying competition, and of course the couples' lift competition!

Fall into Dance

Join The Asheville Ballet, Ann Dunn Director, for the first event of our 2019/2020 Season, a professional production of all original work. Choreographers Ann Dunn, Fleming Lomax, Phillip McRorie, Tricia Renshaw, Megan Jones Medford, and Sandi Weinberg have spent the summer creating a potpourri of dance, classical to contemporary, for your delight.
Come enjoy an hour of dance and live music in our beautiful mountain city, under the stars.
