If you choose to pay by Trimester, fees are due with Registration, November 15 and February 15. If you choose to pay by the month, fees are due by the first class of each calendar month. Fees are based on annual costs, divided into nine installments for your convenience. Whether a "month" has 3, 4, or 5 classes makes no difference to your payment. You are not paying for the number of classes in the calendar month. No refunds are made for missed classes. Missed classes may be made up in any classes in any discipline. If a class is dropped or added, please call the office immeditely. You will be billed for lesson fees until we are notified of the student's status. In the event we must cancel a class, you may receive credit toward another class

Snow days are the same as Asheville City Schools.
Ask about the Pre-Professional Program. Individually tailored study of up to 13 classes per week. Video, photos, resumes, and audition assistance. Summer and professional study advising. New York study trip. (Required to take Composition.)
Asheville Ballet's Season performances include The Nutcracker and Giselle. Products will be cast from members of Civic, Extras (Bon-Bons, children, parents) will be chosen by teacher recommendation.
Pointe Work, done improperly, is dangerous. Please do not ask about pointe shoes until you are 11 years old, have been taking two technique classes per week for 2 years, and are prepared to take 3 classes per week.
Parking is available behind the building. NU-WAY Cleaners owns the driveway behind our building and they need this, and their parking lot is for their customers. Garner's Stereo request that you not use their driveway or front lot. Please respect our neighbors. They Will Tow!
What Should I Take? Students are placed according to level. Recreational dancers are welcome everywhere. Children may not participate in Asheville Civic Ballet without taking TWO classes per week. The occasional young person who demonstrates interest in possibly pursuing a professional career at the college level (as a performer, choreographer, or teacher) should work their way up to the Pre-Professional Program by 14 or 15 years.
Dress for all classes should be simple and appropriate. Consult the instructor. Hair should be restrained. Pre-School: black or pink leotard, pink ballet slippers, pink tights, tap shoes. Ballet I-II: black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers.
Absences are the student's responsibility to make up. Students may make up with any type of dance class (i.e. a ballet can be made up with a modern). There will not be a tuition adjustment except for relocation or long-term illness or injury. Much can be learned from watching a class, and a watched class does not have to be made up. Classes must be made up within the month following the absence.
