Members of ADDANCE have trained and/or performed with New York City Ballet, Merce Cunningham, Martha Graham, Boitsov Ballet, The Ed Sullivan and Perry Como Shows, Tokyo Disneyland, Royal Carribean Cruise Line, Hartford Ballet, North Carolina School of the Arts, Virginia School of the Arts, and Florida State University.

ADDANCE members have executed such prestigious choreographic commissions as Turandot for New York City Opera at Lincoln Center, Amahl and the Night Visitors for Gian Carlo Menotti’s officially sponsored touring company, original work for national and international ballet and modern companies, symphonies, opera companies, colleges such as Purdue University, and museums such Oglethorpe in Atlanta.

Members of the company participate in The Asheville Ballet’s annual season of four productions, including The Nutcracker. Locally, they have danced with the Asheville Symphony, Asheville Lyric Opera, Asheville Choral Society, and at the Asheville Art Museum. They have toured to Italy, Yale University, New York City, Keene State College, Georgia Technical Institute, arts council venues and public schools in the Southeast and Midwest. They have also performed at The Dock Street Theater in Charleston, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York, Jacob’s Pillow, Dance Theater Workshop in New York, on television and in films.

Funded by local patrons, national and local grants, and through their performances and events produced by The Asheville Ballet Guild, Inc, ADDANCE is a non-profit organization that is one of the state’s premier contemporary ballet companies. ADDANCE is proud to be a part of the venerable history of dance in Western North Carolina.
